A Free Lunch?

There’s no such thing as a free lunch
More often than not, this statement is true—there's always a catch, right?
After Covid, I decided to switch careers from the banking sector to car sales. It was miserable! The truth is, I cannot, and will not, sell something I don't believe in, nor will I work for a company that doesn't align with my values. In other words, if I wouldn’t buy it, I’m not going to sell it. It’s that simple.
There are many platforms that allow travelers to easily book hotels, flights, cruises, excursions, etc. But what do you gain from it? The short answer is nothing. That’s right, you get nothing more than what you paid for.
For instance, if you buy a flight to your dream destination, you might only get the basic ticket. That means no carry-on that can’t fit under your seat, being the last to board, and if there's an issue, the airline won’t handle your situation directly. You have to deal with the platform you bought your ticket from. Is it worth it?
Renting a car through these common platforms also leads to issues when picking up the vehicle. Insurance, a topic for another post, can be bought on a booking platform. However, the insurance isn’t through the rental company but through the booking platform. So, if you purchased insurance, guess who you have to deal with? Exactly! The platform’s customer service, where you're just a number to them.
In short, your dream vacation could quickly turn into a nightmare.
A travel advisor to the rescue!
I’ve always wanted to be a travel advisor, but it's a dying field, right? Wrong!
Let’s return to the concept of free. Simply put, you don’t pay anything extra for booking your trip with me. In fact, you gain access to perks and upgrades—free! There’s that word again. Let me explain.
If you book through a platform or directly with the hotel, you get what you pay for. But if I book your hotel for you, two things happen. First, you pay the same whether you book it yourself or through me. Second, the hotel pays me while you're treated like a VIP.
In other words, you were going to book that hotel anyway. You’d pay the same amount anyway. Why not enjoy perks and upgrades—at no extra cost to you? It’s a no-brainer.
Okay, here’s the catch. I do charge something that all travel advisors charge. See, there’s no such thing as a free lunch. However, I’m not charging your credit card.

Trust! I’m asking you to trust me to take care of you completely. I’m asking you to place your dreams and hopes in my hands. And this is priceless.
Why should you trust me?
I’ve planned numerous trips, from simple solo adventures to coordinating logistics for some 30 people arriving from around the world for an event—flawlessly.
I have a genuine passion for this. Combined with my experience, you can enjoy your trip without worry, while being treated as more than just a number. In fact, if something does go wrong beyond our control—weather seems to be the kryptonite of traveling—you have access to me 24/7. That’s right! I’m just a text, email, or phone call away for personalized service. I work directly with airlines, hotels, cruise lines, and guides for you. Moreover, I'm supported by FORA Travel, which provides me with endless resources to ensure you create the best memories of a lifetime.
