Somewhere Over the Rainbow

Let me introduce myself!
I should mention upfront that some of my adventures have been somewhat reckless. But hey, that makes for a great story, right?
Take, for instance, the time in 2006 during tornado season in Ohio when my brother and I decided to film the tornadoes with his new camcorder. We didn’t capture any footage, but we definitely had an oh sh*t moment.
Since the iPhone was still a year away from being released, I had to call friends who were watching the news to track the storm. I stopped at a 4-way stop sign, and it was dark and eerily quiet; there was no one else on the roads. I guess we were the only fools.

I made one last call to track the storm and was told a tornado was spotted on OH State Route 741 in Springboro. I checked the road sign—yup! We were on OH 741. And then the tornado siren went off.
I floored it from 0-60, racing down the road to a gas station where we took cover. Others had the same idea, glued to the news to decide whether to take shelter.
Though my heart was pounding, everything turned out fine in the end.
I share this story because it highlights my adventurous spirit. Yes, it was crazy and risky, but it’s a part of who I am. Now, as matured adult, I sometimes feel like I’ve done it all—even though I know I haven’t.
Recently, I’ve been too focused on the wrong things like career growth, neglecting my passion for adventures. That’s why I became a Travel Advisor backed by FORA.
Join me on my adventures to see my journey, and you'll be glad you chose me as your Travel Advisor, knowing you’re in capable hands.
